PERSONNEL
We like to give you a bit of a dive into the people behind our operation so you have complete confidence in making the right decision for you. Each and everyone of us wants to earn your business and provide a memorable positive experience for our valued clients.
Colbie Coglon
(Co-Owner)
Colbie was born in east central Alberta near Bonnyville where he still lives today. Together with his wife Jaynell and 2 kids they own a purebred red angus cattle ranch, He’s also partners in Ceaser Lake Outfitters in the Yukon as well as operates a successful Whitetail Deer Operation in November from the ranch.
Colbie began hunting and fishing at a young age. Starting with waterfowl and progressing to whitetail then to big game. As he got older the trips got longer and more adventurous until the ultimate adventure was calling… the Yukon. In 2012 he started his professional guiding career and hasn’t looked back. Refining his trade he acquired skills to become a top hand and sheep guide along the way. He is now a farrier, horse trainer and experienced bushpilot. What started out as a passion for the adventure of the backcountry has now progressed into a love for the outfitting industry and being a part of delivering the highest quality hunting adventures possible with our team. He believes helping people realize their hunting dreams and allowing them to unplug from this crazy world (whether it's the remote Yukon backcountry or the Summits of Alberta) is what it’s all about. Wild times in wild places!
Colbie adds a ton of experience and dedication to the team and will assist Grant and Dustin with all the behind the scenes workings this business entails, from Trade Shows, Booking and communications with clients when needed, Managing crews and the many outfit horses, just to name a few of the lengthy list of tasks on his plate.
An outfit is only as good as the team and the leadership behind them. With Colbie we are fortunate to have one of the best.
